What is next for Future Mole Valley?
Mole Valley District Council is working towards a public consultation on Future Mole Valley in summer 2019. At that point, they will publicise sites which are under active consideration for future development, together with related proposals for infrastructure and other important requirements. The views of local residents and businesses will be sought and considered before moving towards further consultation on a draft Local Plan later in 2019.
The current proposal is a potential for 55 dwellings at the top of Old Horsham Road. With the potential for higher densification from Station House up to the public footpath.
However now that the Lib Dems have control of the council who knows what will happen. Will they scrap the local plan as they promised to protect the Greenbelt? If they do this it is very dangerous for Beare Green as the inspector could take control of the local plan and tell the council where development will go without locals say.
