UK Oil & Gas Takes Control of Holmwood to Focus on 'Horse Hill look-alike'

On 16th April, UKOG paid £300k to EOG who they had been involved with as partner, to buy the partner EOG out.  So that means UKOG now has exclusive rights to drill the “Holmwood A24 prospect”, formally known as exploration licensed block PEDL143. The article is below.

Almost all of PEDL143 is in the AONB except for around Beare Green. The map is below.

So the oil company knows that they can not drill on AONB in Coldharbour so are they trying to drill through Beare Green to get to PEDL143?

If you are concerned about this please write to your County Councillor Helyn Clack helyn.clack@surreycc.gov.uk and copy in Keep Beare Green Green your local activist group keepbearegreengreen@gmail.com

  1. KBGG has been talking to County Councillor Helyn Clack who has confirmed that Surrey County Council planning department has confirmed that from the dialogue from UKOG, they indicate they may be looking for a new location outside of the AONB, however they will still require planning permission for any new exploration drilling and as yet Surrey County Council has not received anything for this area.
