In its interim report in December 2013, the Airports Commission shortlisted options to build a third runway at Heathrow and a second at Gatwick. It also announced that it would undertake a detailed assessment of plans to build a new hub airport on the Isle of Grain on the inner Thames Estuary. It will announce in September whether the estuary option is to be added to the shortlist.
However, there are other consultations taking place that will have (and are having already) a serious effect on the quality of life for Betchworth Parishioners, namely:

This is a very complex issue and they (Gatwick Airport) do not make it straight forward and it will take time. However:
Take out time to take part. You have only got until 14th August 2014 to have your say!
